We are extremely delighted to announce the lunching of ‘Ambassador Programme’ which is created to inspire the next generation of engineers and technologists, not just for our own company but for KSA industry as a whole. We believe that Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) will be key to this talent in order to shape and create the future – that meets the Kingdom Vision 2030. Through volunteers from the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company conjointly with BAE Systems, BAE Systems Saudi Development and Training , and International Systems Engineering in KSA acting as “Ambassadors” they will support and provide sessions to local schools within KSA that will inspire children (13-17), capture their imaginations and aspirations to ultimately raise awareness of the possibilities of future careers in STEM. We feel by doing these sessions from our Ambassadors, many of whom are graduates or of a young age, can provide true guidance and inspiration to the students to really make a difference around STEM. Starting with King Faisal schools and in collaboration with King Faisal Foundation, we hope to understand how we can further support the increase in STEM knowledge and awareness, to ensure the Ambassador Programme can be as effective as possible. Likewise, we aim to introduce further STEM related activities with schools such as “Make It Challenges”, STEM Roadshows, work experience within BAE Systems in KSA and many more. Hence, we demonstrate our commitment to the future of KSA and Vision 2030.
The Ambassador Programme offers a variety of sessions titled as: STEM Activities, SOFT Skills, Life After School. In addition, we offer other related activities such as: IT Linked Activities, in which the sessions cover Budgeting with Excel, PowerPoint Essentials and Cyber Future. As well as, we offer two different experiences: Work Experience; a 5-day placement in a BAE Systems Company whereby students will get to work in BAE Systems and experience various aspects of working life. STEM Activity Room; visit our specially created STEM room to learn more before going on a tour of one of our high-technology facilities and potentially even test the equipment out! We can also support classroom lessons, projects or learning on a variety of subjects linked to STEM.
