The Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC) is delighted to have won a contract and commenced work on the Tornado Inventory Check (TIC) project for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). Delivery of the project will run for approximately twelve months.
The TIC project is part of SMSCMC’s commitment to support the RSAF by marking, recording, digitising and storing the entire platform inventory to meet the specific needs of the Customer. This will enable him to monitor, analyse, and forecast demand with greater accuracy and speed, supporting operational priorities, guiding procurement decisions and optimising budgets.
Tony Barton, CEO of SMSCMC, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the joint team working on the project, also comprising RGIS and ACGC who are providing specialist support in different elements of the programme. He thanks both partners for their expertise and the collective team spirit.
Importantly, he thanked the RSAF for their critical support in enabling this work to proceed diligently.
It is noteworthy that this work comes under the umbrella of contracts between the Saudi Royal Air Force and BAE Systems who are transferring projects to Saudi Arabian joint venture companies, such as SMSCMC in support of the Saudi National Vision 2030, which aim is to localize over 50 percent of military spending by 2030.
